Payment Information
Steps for Website Design Projects
- Initial Consultation - We first like to speak directly with potential clients to discuss their projects in detail. This initial consultation is free of charge.
- A 20% deposit is required for all website packages above $500 (full payment is required up front for website packages below $500). Once the deposit/payment, signed contract and any existing materials are received from the client, the client's domain name is purchased (if the client hasn't already secured their domain) and work begins on a two-three page demo of a possible website design. The design samples are sent to clients by email along with the proposed navigation for the site. Up to two revisions may be made to the demo design.
- Website Outline - Upon acceptance of the design and planned navigation, an outline of the entire project is created with the responsible party noted for each task. A copy of the outline is provided to the client by email. At this time, the client is asked to notify B&B Publishing if there are any revisions needed to the plan for the site (the need for additional fees will be assessed for any additions/revisions to the project).
- Website Mockup - Upon approval of the Website Outline and receipt of the remaining payment (for website packages above $500), the webspace is purchased for the project (if the client hasn't already secured web hosting) and we begin creating a mockup of the site (the structure of the site with the navigation in place). We first create the structure of the home page (which shows the design/layout for all the main pages from About Us and Services to Related Links and Contact Us). The sample home page is posted to the client's webpace online and the client is notified when the initial mockup page is ready for their review.
- Mockup Review - Once the client has reviewed and approved the initial page of the mockup, we complete the entire structure of the site.
- Intitial Tests - We first test the structure in-house and then submit the mockup to the client for his or her review.
- Website Content - After we receive their approval of the mockup, work commences on adding the website content. Content may be generated from existing documentation provided by the client, or B&B Publishing can assist the client with writing the copy for the site (a simple questionnaire tailored for the business is provided to aid in writing the website copy). The completed copy is then reviewed for clarity and edited to identify any grammatic and formatting errors.
- Search Engine Optimization - Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is then performed to prepare the site for search engine submission. The level of SEO is determined by the package chosen by the client. We offer Basic and Advanced options. Clients are allowed to upgrade their packages from the Basic SEO Service Option to the Advanced SEO Service Option.
- Final Website Prep - The Domain Name information is updated to reflect the location of the webspace, and the email setup and testing is performed.
- Final Testing - Thorough in-depth testing of the site is then performed to ensure optimum functionality.
- Search Engine Submission - Once the website testing is complete, the site is then submitted for search engine placement.
